Law of Attraction for Teenagers

Why a Special Article About Teenagers and LoA?

I have been asked by several folks to write an article about the Law of Attraction (LoA) and teenagers because teenagers are different. Really? Well, yes, they are different. However, they are not different in the way you may think. First, teenagers are, for the most part, still learning about themselves and their world so they are less likely to reject a philosophy or idea such as LoA without first examining it. Put another way, teenagers are less set in their ways than those who are 30, 40 or 50 and therefore have fewer bad energy habits to unlearn.

However, this article is as much for those who have teenagers in the house as it is for teenagers themselves. You see, those with teenagers have a special responsibility that is sometimes overlooked – the responsibility to be in alignment with Source and serve as an example. Teenagers are often looking for inspiration (not motivation) to guide them and are, among other things, paying close attention to the role models around them.

For Those with Teenagers

Everyone should aspire to stay in alignment with Source (often referred to as being centered or in touch with one’s inner self), but for those with teenagers, this is particularly important. Although they may seem to not be paying attention, teenagers watch their world (you in this case) closely and often form their foundational patterns from what they see and hear. If you are negative and blame everything on external forces, they won’t be impressed by your good words about having a positive outlook and being the creator of your own reality. Motivational words fall heavily to earth when spoken by an uninspired teacher. However, inspired actions from a place of alignment will make an impression that will serve your teenager for a lifetime. You don’t have to be perfect, but you do have to be consistent and in alignment with who you really are.

For Teenagers

You are in a very powerful position as you can see the world more clearly than those who are older and may have fallen into poor energetic patterns. Trust yourself, trust your feelings, trust the Universe. Life is not hard – life is made hard by the resistance we offer. When I was growing up in the 1960s adults poked fun at the flower children who were fond of saying “take it easy man,” and “just go with the flow.”

However, I’ve learned that the power was with those enlightened young people and “going with the flow” was an expression for not resisting the Universe and enjoying the ride. In fact, I’ve found joy is the key to manifesting anything and everything you desire. You are at a point in your life where you are mature enough to form your own opinions but still young enough not to be blinded to the amazing power of joy. Listen to those who make sense to you but listen much harder to those who make your heart sing, even if their words seem strange. That singing you hear in your heart is your guidance system and it is both more powerful and more accurate than your logical thought.

Lastly, when you feel anger, sorrow, or fear, know that your guidance system is telling you that you are out of alignment with who you really are. Stop, take a breath and center yourself. Remember who you really are and recall that you create your reality. Then redirect your thoughts away from whatever caused you to fall out of alignment. Don’t push against it, just put it out of your mind and focus on a thought — any thought — that brings a smile to your face and joy to your heart. If that sounds silly enough to make you smile, then you get it and so does your inner self.

The Law of Attraction in Recovery From Alcoholism

You will always find exactly what you’re looking for, this is an age-old truth. It still surprises me when I discover how many people don’t realize this truth. To recover from alcoholism, which is my primary focus in the recovery community, I always start in the mind. Thoughts lead to feelings, which lead to actions, which lead to results.

So the question is; what are you looking for? Or may I phrase that a different way; what is it that you WANT? You see, wanting is the beginning of deliberate creating, and until you want something, you’ll never have it. That being the case, if what you want is not currently present in your life, you must look inward and examine your thoughts.

Our minds are sending and receiving stations. All attraction begins with you. Therefore you must focus on what you want, not on what you need. Because, when you focus on what you need, you’re actually focusing on the lack of what you want, thereby attracting more lack (of what you really want).

You must continually seek that which you desire. Every day, every morning, from your bed upon awakening, throughout the day, until again you find it’s the end of the day, and your head is back on the pillow. You must continually seek that which you desire. When you do this, a vibrational harmonic frequency will begin to resonate out into the Universe, and all that is in alignment with that frequency, all things that resonate vibrationally with your desires, that resonate with what you want, they will begin to appear in your life. Not just things either, but thoughts and ideas, concepts from Creative Intelligence, they will begin to appear in your mind in the form of inspiration, excitement, and motivation. Things you’ve watched others attempt, and up until now you’ve never even dared to think about… but now you want to try them for yourself.

Soon, opportunities will begin to present themselves. New and different people will show up around you. Situations that used to baffle you will suddenly begin to resolve themselves with grace and ease. You will find yourself where you want to be, and becoming who you want to be, more and more each day. This is the way of things, it is Universal Law. It cannot not happen.

Then, it’s simply a choice, not a struggle. I have many years of personal experience with these matters, in life generally, and in recovery specifically. When all you desire is recovery from alcoholism, and that becomes a burning desire, and it consumes you every day with a passion that surpasses all others, then it is an outcome with an imminent arrival. Be present; remain open; and trust your Intuitive Wisdom.

Using The Law Of Attraction To Get Your Ex Back – A Deep Understanding

So let’s have a discussion about using the Law Of Attraction to manifest your ex back.

I don’t want to go into the mechanics of how to do it, in this article, I would rather discuss if it’s actually possible for you to get your ex back using manifestation techniques, and what it is you’re truly searching for.

Happiness Or Your Ex?

If I ask you at face value, what is that you really want right now?

I can almost guarantee that each and every one of you reading this, will say that you want your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend back again. Maybe even your husband or wife.

So why do you want them back again?

You want them back so you can be happy again!

In your mind, you believe that you need your ex back to be happy again.

Deep down, what you actually desire is to be happy, you just believe that you need your ex back to be able to feel that way again.

In your current state of overwhelming emotions, you will probably struggle to believe me.

But that is all you’re searching for.

The way the universe works is like a mirror, it is always reflecting back to you your dominant vibrations and beliefs.

So the only way you can get your ex back again is by becoming happy within yourself. By becoming happy again without them.

You were happy before you met, them, so why can’t you be happy again without them?

Your relationship with your ex will never work if you rely on them to make you happy. No relationship will work in that situation. You will put too much pressure on the other person, and only push them away again.

Why do you want to rely on anyone or anything for your happiness anyway? It puts too much power in the hands of other people and external circumstances.

So the trick is, to learn how to be happy and whole again without your ex, then if you still desire to, start working towards getting back together with them.

Is It Possible To Manifest Your Ex Back?

The short answer is yes!

But whether you will or not is another story.

This does not mean that the Law Of Attraction is inconsistent and only works in some situations and not others.

No, it comes down to you. It depends on where you are headed in life.

If you want to manifest your ex back, that is great, but you will need to go on a very personal journey as part of the manifestation process.

To succeed in getting your ex back, you will need to learn how to be happy within yourself. You will need to remove limiting beliefs about the relationship with your ex, and with life in general.

The universe will take you on this journey, giving you all the resources, insights and understanding that you need to learn. But the person you will become will be vastly different to the person you are now.

You will be happy, healthy and confident in life. You will not rely on anyone or anything and have the freedom within to pursue anything you want in life.

Think about how different your outlook on life will be? Chances are you may not even want to get back with your ex anymore, you could very well have outgrown them.

If at this point in your personal journey, you still want to get back together with your ex, then the choice will be yours! The universe will give you that which you desire, it will just be a matter of orchestrating the events in your life to allow you to reunite with your ex.

It is as simple as that.

The Law of Attraction and Letting Go of Your Limiting Beliefs

We are vibrational beings. With every thought we have we transmit a vibration to the Universe. When we place our focus of attention on a particular thought, we strengthen the vibration of that thought. The Universe responds to our vibration by giving us what we are placing on our energy and attention on.When we repeatedly hold a thought, it becomes a belief. Our beliefs determine what shows up in our lives. If, for example, a person believes he or she is not describing of success, then despite all efforts, there will be some way in which she sabotages her success.

Most of our beliefs come from the ideas we picked up in childhood. Unfortunately, many of those beliefs are not true. Think about your self-talk. How often is it encouraging and positive? For most people, the majority of their thoughts are negative and habitual. No wonder so many people struggle to reach their goals and dreams!

Our beliefs, attitudes and values are stored in our subconscious mind. You may not even realize some of the beliefs you hold subconsciously. Our beliefs have become the lens through which we see the world and affect how we have. If you want to know what beliefs you hold, simply look at your life and ask, "What would someone have to believe in order to have created this?"

Perhaps you recognize some of these commonly held beliefs:

  • No matter what I do or how hard I try, it's never good enough.
  • I blame others for my problems.
  • My opinion does not matter.
  • What I do is not really important.
  • If people knew the real me they would not like me.
  • I should not try anything new or risky because I'll probably screw it up.
  • I do not deserve to be happy (be successful, have love, etc.)
  • Mistakes and failure are bad.

The way to consciously deactivate a thought is to replace it with a different thought. When you first give your attention to a new thought, the vibration is not very strong. But with practice, you begin to shift your limiting dominant thought to the new one. You actually create new neural pathways in the brain, so the new thought is now your default thought. Now you will be transmitting a vibration in alignment with what you want to create in your life.

Think about how you feel when you have a negative thought. Not so good, right? That feeling of contracting is your indicator you are off track from creating what you want. Your Source knows you are describing and capable of bringing into being everything you want to be, do and have. When you think a negative thought you are out of alignment with what is actually true about you. So, use your feelings as your internal guidance system to tell if you are in alignment with your desires or keeping them away from you.

Some ways to practice moving to positive thoughts:

  1. Start paying more attention to your self-talk. When you notice a negative thought, gently replace it with a thought that feels better. Practice the new thought as an affirmation. You can start the new thought with the words "I've decided" or "I chose." Ex: I choose to know that I am describing of success "or" I've decided I am describing of success. "
  2. Scripting is another great way to practice new thinking and raise your vibration. Simply write a story about how you want your life to look, as if it was already completed. Use sentence starters like, "I love knowing that …" and "It's so exciting when …" Read your script frequently to raise your vibration-and make sure it's something that feels great to read!
  3. Vision boards and "mind movies" are great if you are a visual person. There are many resources online that will help you with ideas for creating a vision board or create a video version of a vision board.
  4. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, also called "tapping") or PSYCH-K are two modalities that work to help you shift limiting subconscious beliefs quickly.

Manifestation: Why Doesn’t The Law Of Attraction Work?

Ever since a certain film was released over a decade ago, it has resulted in a lot of people being aware of the so-called ‘law of attraction’. At its root, this law basically says that our thoughts create our reality.

So, in order for someone to create their ideal life, the only thing they will need to do is to make sure that they have the right thoughts in each moment of their life. Through focusing their mind in this way, it will only be a matter of time before their perfect life starts to materialise.

A Mixed Response

There appears to be plenty of people in the world who have been able to create a fulfilling life by controlling the thoughts that they have. Consequently, this has meant that they are firm believers in this law.

However, while there are plenty of people who are in this position, there appears to be just as many, if not more, who are in a very different position. Trying to create a better life by only having positive thoughts might have just caused them to feel even worse than they did before they came across this law.

One Outlook

One way of looking at this would be to say that the main difference between these two groups of people is that one can group can focus their mind but the other group can’t. Thus, if the people in the second group were able to improve their mental focus, their life would change.

Another way of looking at it would be to say that there is more to this than just having the right thoughts, and that the reason the people in the first group have been successful with this law is because of how they feel about what they want to attract. In other words, not only will their thoughts be in alignment with what they want, but so will their feelings.

Two Parts

It is then not that someone’s thoughts create their life; this is simply a half-truth. The way for someone to make the law of attraction to work for them will then be to focus the thoughts that are in their mind and to experience the right feelings in their body.

When these two forces combine, it will enable them to experience the life that they want to experience. For this to take place, someone will probably need to use a lot of willpower, and this can be incredibly tiring.

Not the Answer

Once their mind and body are working together in this way, they may find that it is only a matter of time before certain parts of their life start to change. The momentum will build and, after a few months have passed, it could be as though their life has been completely transformed.

Then again, they may find that they are only able to have the ‘right’ thoughts and feelings for so long each day. In one moment they might feel great and then in another, after having run out of willpower, they could fall right down.

A Downward Spiral

They are then going to be on one side of the emotional spectrum or they will be on the other, and this is naturally going to cause them to send out mixed signals. Along with this, they can end up lambasting themselves for not being positive.

There is then going to be how they feel once they fall down and there will be the negative self-talk that follows soon after. At this point, someone might wonder what their life would be like if it just flowed and they didn’t need to use so much force.

Inner Conflict

When someone needs to use a lot of willpower to try to experience what they desire, it can show that their unconscious mind is not on board with what their conscious mind wants. The conscious mind – the part of them that has very little power compared with their unconscious mind – is then going to try to make everything happen through force.

In a way, the difference between these two minds is similar to the difference between a person who is trying to push a car up a hill and a person who is driving a car up a hill. The person trying to push the car represents the conscious mind and the person who is driving the car represents the unconscious mind.

A Huge Challenge

A small part of someone is then going to be trying to force a bigger, far more powerful part of them to do something. The bigger part of them will be more interested in keeping things the same than living a fulfilling life, with this part of them associating what is familiar with what is safe.

On top of this, some of the things that someone wants to attract might not be in alignment with their true essence, simply being a reflection of their need to avoid how they feel, for instance. Therefore, if they felt different, they might no longer want to attract certain things, and, they might even find that their need to change their circumstances starts to disappear, allowing them to truly embrace the present moment.

Awareness

One way for someone to align their conscious mind with their conscious mind, or for their head and body to work together, it to heal the trauma that is within their body. This trauma is likely to be what is making it hard for them to change their life and it can be what is causing them to desire things that have no relevance to who they really are.

The idea of having what we want, when we want it and feeling good all the time can be very attractive, as it appeals to the part of us that wants to avoid pain and to be the centre of the universe. Going deep within ourselves and healing our wounds is painful, but it is what will enable us to live a more fulfilling life.

What Is the Law of Attraction?

There is no definitive answer to this unseen power but the law of attraction has been attributed to many thoughts such as an ancient philosophy, karma, or more specifically, an omnipotent universal force. Some sources liken it to gravity or lets just say it simply exists. The law of attraction responds to what you focus on, feel strongly and think about, which ultimately manifests itself into your reality. The upside is a very positive thing yet negative thoughts can result in quite the opposite.

Those who subscribe to the law of attraction claim that it is an inevitable law, like gravity. While, even those who don’t acknowledge the law of attraction are participating in it, nonetheless. Before the popularity of the best selling book and DVD, “The Secret”, this phenomenon was probably better known as ’cause and effect’ but it wasn’t as mysterious or interesting as it is now.

Good Vibrations

A belief behind the law of attraction is the idea that the whole universe gives off certain vibrations. As a part of the universe, you, too, give off vibrations. This is sort of like your personal broadcast, in much the same way a radio transmits sound waves, the law of attraction responds to the vibrations given out by individuals.

If you give off positive vibrations, then the law states you will receive positive things in response. To generate these vibrations, sources say you should visualize reaching your goals and dreams. Every day, you think specifically about those things you want to achieve. Between the times that you are thinking so specifically, you need to cultivate an overall positive attitude so that your vibration will always be positive.

In other words, you can’t make up for 23 hours of negative thinking with one hour of positive visualization. Whilst we all have negative thoughts and not a lot we can do about that, we can enhance the process by creating such things as vision boards, reading inspiring novels or just surrounding ourselves with uplifting and positive people.

Like Attracts Like

The law of attraction is based on the principle that “like attracts like.” This is why a positive outlook is said to affect you positively, while a negative one does quite the reverse. Are you a radiator or a drain? One who exudes warmth or one who drags you down! Probably not the greatest of examples, but I think you get my point.

The Subconscious

An interesting theory within the law of attraction suggesting the brain cannot distinguish properly between observing an event in real life and one within your own mind. To the brain, so the theory goes, an event is an event. It is perceived as being real, even though it is only a thought process. How powerful is that? This is why the law of attraction can turn your thoughts into reality, good or bad – it taps into the very core of your subconscious.

Taking Action

As opportunities begin to come your way, the need to act on them must be your goal. After all, it was your thoughts that manifested themselves. You should be able to distinguish these opportunities from any other ordinary event, especially if they are part of any goal that you have set yourself. People who study the law of attraction follow up on any and all opportunities that have anything to do with their goals, and on those that just intuitively “feel right.” After all, sometimes you can’t tell how relevant something is to your goals until you act upon it.
